EaseMySemester
Terms of service
Using EaseMySemester means agreeing to these terms. They are short, and they are meant to be read.
What this is
EaseMySemester is a study aid built over a bank of past examination questions, ranked by how often each has really been asked, with answers written against textbook sources and cited to the page.
It is a revision tool. It is not a qualification, not medical advice, and not a substitute for your course, your teachers or your textbooks.
Getting an account
You sign up with an email address and a password you choose. Keep the password to yourself — we store only a hash of it and cannot recover it for you — and tell us if you think somebody else is using your account.
We can suspend or remove an account that is shared, used to redistribute the question bank, or used to attack the service. In practice we would ask you about it first.
The demo account
The landing page can sign a visitor into a shared demo account. It is there so somebody can look at the app without registering, and it is nobody’s account: whatever is done inside it is visible to the next visitor. Do not put anything private in it.
The answers are not guaranteed
Answers are generated from textbook passages and carry citations to the book and page they came from. The citations are built from the retrieved passages themselves rather than written by a language model, so a page number should not be invented. That is a design property, not a promise of correctness.
An answer can still be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Where the source material does not cover a question, the app says so rather than guessing — but you should check anything that matters against the book. Use the answers to study. Do not rely on them in an examination hall, in a clinical setting, or anywhere a mistake has a cost.
The question bank
The questions are the examination material of the university that set them. We record where each one appeared and how often; we do not claim to own them. The answers, the rankings and the application around them are ours.
Your account is for your own study. Do not scrape the bank, republish it, or pass it on in bulk.
What we ask of you
- Use the ask box for questions about your course, not for anything personal or anyone else’s information.
- Do not try to break, overload or work around the limits on the service.
- Do not use the app to cheat in an examination. It exists to help you learn the material, not to sit the paper for you.
Availability
EaseMySemester is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available when you need it. It is a small service run by one person; it may be down, it may lose a term’s notes to a mistake, and it may stop altogether. Keep your own notes on anything you cannot afford to lose.
The service is currently free. If a paid tier is introduced, what you have already will not be taken away without notice to the address on your account.
Ending it
You can stop using EaseMySemester whenever you like, and you can have your account and everything attached to it deleted by emailing contact@adwitiyarahman.in. What happens to your data is set out in the privacy notice.
Changes
These terms may change as the app does. The date at the top says when they last did, and a change that affects what you may do with the service will be emailed to the address on your account.
Contact
Anything about these terms goes to contact@adwitiyarahman.in.
